Karen Gantt is currently a Professor of Business Law at the University of Hartford’s Barney School of Business. She teaches Legal Environment of Business; Business, Law, Compliance & Society; and Law for Entrepreneurs. Prior to teaching, Professor Gantt served as legal and regulatory counsel for several specialty insurance companies. She was an insurance and business law lecturer at Howard University, her alma mater prior to her current position. Research interests include:

• Land loss;
• Corporate formations, compliance, and the intersection of religion and corporate operations; and
• Food sources and environmental sustainability
